Best of Costa Rica Tour Itinerary

DAY 01: SAN JOSÉ
Airport greeting by bilingual guide and private transport for transfer to the Hotel Grano de Oro in San José. Cultural tour of San José if you flight arrival schedule permits.
DAY 02: SAN JOSÉ – ARENAL VOLCANO
Breakfast at hotel and private transfer with your guide north through the lush mountains of the central valley to the active volcano of Arenal, one of Latin America’s most spectacular volcanoes. Check-in to hotel and private guided nature hike in the forest next to the volcano. Lodging at the Arenal Observatory Lodge located close to the active cone and wrapped in rain forest. If the weather cooperates this is the best viewing deck in the region to enjoy the nighttime show of the volcano.
DAY 03: ARENAL VOLCANO – MONTEVERDE CLOUD FOREST  
Breakfast at hotel and morning transfer with your guide to Lake Arenal for a boat ride across the lake and then on to the world renowned cloud forest of Monteverde for check-in to hotel. Afternoon visit to the frog pond, for a close-up look at these unique animals. Lodging at Trapp Family Lodge, a fine and very personal lodge located just outside the reserve to allow for an early start to beat the crowds the next morning.
DAY 04: MONTEVERDE – PACIFIC BEACH
Breakfast at hotel and morning hike of the biological reserve with your guide to examine the unique flora and fauna of the cloud forest ecosystem. Private transfer with your English speaking tour guide to the coastal national park of Manuel Antonio. Lodging in the private rain forest on the Pacific Ocean at Arenas del Mar.
DAY 05: MANUEL ANTONIO NATIONAL PARK
Breakfast at hotel and private guided visit to Manuel Antonio National Park home to white-faced monkeys, sloth, iguanas, anteaters, and many unique species of birds.  Return to Arenas del Mar to enjoy its secluded beach. Lodging at Arenas del Mar in Manuel Antonio.
DAY 06 MANUEL ANTONIO NATIONAL PARK – SAN JOSÉ
Breakfast at hotel and morning to enjoy the beach. Early afternoon private transfer to San José through the scenic central mountains of Costa Rica for lodging in San José at the classy Hotel Grano de Oro.
DAY 07: SAN JOSÉ
Breakfast at hotel. Private transfer to airport for flight home.
