This Costa Rica Adventure Tour focuses on the majestic northern volcano range in Costa Rica, with great volcano forest hikes and lots of waterfalls, rivers and canyons for canyoning (rappelling down waterfalls), a canyon zip-line and real wilderness white-water rafting. This is a journey amongst the lava filled giants of Costa Rica’s less-traveled northern regions. An adventure trip that allows you to experience in a single week the rain forest waterfalls, flora and fauna of the Arenal Volcano National Park, the precious cloud forest punctuated by celestial blue waters at the Tenorio Volcano National Park and the unique and endangered tropical dry forest of that wraps the volcano at Rincón de la Vieja National Park. A trip for those who like to get out and experience Costa Rica’s rugged volcanic geography with gusto. Go ahead, push yourself a bit, a do so engulfed in Costa Rica’s precious nature, while being led by one of Costa Rica’s finest guides, and then recharging each night in quality ecolodges. Adventure Multi-sport Tour in Costa Rica Itinerary

DAY 01: SAN JOSÉ
Airport greeting by bilingual guide and private transport for transfer to the Hotel Grano de Oro in San José.
DAY 02: ARENAL VOLCANO NATIONAL PARK
Breakfast at hotel and private transfer with your guide north to the Arenal National Park and its most exciting lodge. In route to Arenal your private guide will take you to three spectacular waterfalls, away from the group tours and buses, up close and natural, La Paz, San Fernando and El Angel Waterfalls. If Costa Rica is famous for beautiful waterfalls, no one could possibly wonder why after this trip to Arenal, but the best is yet to come. Lodging at Arenal Observatory Lodge at the base of the volcano.
DAY 03: ARENAL VOLCANO NATIONAL PARK
Breakfast at hotel and morning transfer with your guide to get up close and personal with Costa Rica’s fresh mountain streams while rappelling (no experience necessary) down 4 separate waterfalls and a rock wall. This sport is popularly known as Canyoning in Costa Rica or some say Canyoneering. The idea is to feel the full vertical drop of each cascade and get quite wet in the process. An afternoon to relax in the shadow of the active volcano or for a nature hike on the extinct volcano next to Arenal, the Chato Volcano with your private adventure guide. Lodging at the Arenal Observatory Lodge.
DAY 04: TENORIO VOLCANO NATIONAL PARK  - CELESTE RIVER
Breakfast at hotel and private transfer with guide to Tenorio Lodge, located just few kilometers from the cloud forest trails at the Tenorio Volcano National Park, which are perfect for an afternoon hike to yet another spectacular cascade, this one of the surreal powder blue Rio Celeste, which is painted pale blue by brass and sulphur sulphate minerals of the volcano that mix into the river’s fresh currents. Lodging in bungalow at the Tenorio Lodge situated between the Tenorio and Miravalles Volcanoes.
DAY 05: TENORIO VOLCANO NATIONAL PARK - TENORIO RIVER
Breakfast at hotel and transfer with your private guide for an exhilarating descent on class III+ and class IV rapids in this white-water rafting adventure on the wild and untamed Tenorio River. Return to Tenorio Lodge for lodging in bungalow.
DAY 06: RINCÓN DE LA VIEJA VOLCANO NATIONAL PARK  - BLANCO RIVER
Breakfast at hotel and private transfer to Rincón de la Vieja National Park, one of the finest tropical dry forests in Central America. Afternoon zip-line and canyoning in the Blanco River canyon, a true wilderness zip-line and canyoning experience. Lodging at Hotel Hacienda Guachipelin.
DAY 07: RINCÓN DE LA VIEJA VOLCANO NATIONAL PARK
Breakfast at hotel and volcano hiking in the reserve with your private naturalist guide. Lodging at Hotel Hacienda Guachipelin.
DAY 08: LIBERIA - SAN JOSÉ
Breakfast and private transfer to Liberia airport for flight home or domestic flight to San José to connect with international flight from San José home.
